    Damian Cunningham (Tala)

    Tala is my phantom thief oc. He occasionally dresses up in a costume resembling his "alter ego", Phantomiau ! Phantomiau usually steals various art pieces from the local museum, he uses these pieces to study art himself, and copy the great masters so he himself can learn new techniques.

    Phantomiau

    Tala uses the Phantomiau self as an outlet to express his need for performing. He views his life as one big act on stage, and he has to do his best to stay in character. He needs to let out this feeling of being in theater, so it doesn't interfere with his daily life. If said needs aren't met, he may suffer from his own thoughts, he gets prone to panic attacks, and gets very under the weather.

    Personality

    In his daily life, Tala is rather restless. He always has to be doing something. In his free time, he makes art, plays video games or is planning his heists in big detail, while crafting tools to aid his criminal activities.

    Tala enjoys art more than anything ! He is a jack of all trades ! He can draw, paint, sculpt, sew and probably much more, some of his clothes were tailored by himself ! Whatever he makes, Tala likes posting about it online to his blog. His nickname comes from his online alias "TakenLabel" [might change if i come up with something cooler]; "TALA" being the name he uses to sign artworks. He probably sells fursuits as well, he is kind of a furry after all.

    While his cheerful and fun personality sound like a positive trait, he struggles with emotional connection on a deeper level. He can"t take his own problems seriously, and lacks skills that would help comfort others.

    Outside of the Phantomiau character, Tala still feels compulsion for theft, so he often shoplifts from larger corporations, to scratch that itch. These are usually smaller items, with very little value. Examples range from tiny hygiene products, fidget toys, and cheap jewelry. He may keep these items, or gift them to friends.

    As Phantomiau, his impulsive and carefree personality traits are amplified.

    In early childhood Tala had a few short lived friendships here and there. He was always artistic and adventurous.

    During his high school years, after turning 18 he cut off his mother from his life.Ever since then lives by himself in a flat. His aunt let's him stay at an apartment of hers, because she pitied Tala. Said aunt is a sister of his late father, so doesn't take any rent from tala bc of the familial connection. There is some quarrel between the two sides of his family, Tala doesn't want to partake, but he's still thankful he has a place to stay.

    IDK where to put this but he may fall into a depressive episode and stuff later on. This idea is still in the works though. [i'm very indecisive]

    Relationships

    Tala has a friend group, including Zahir, and Khris (...more to come soon :3 !). They're all fresh out of high school (aged around 20-22), with possibly being in/wanting to go to college [I have yet to decide?]. Tala and his friends met in high school, and they still hang out together, when they can of course. Tala’s flat is the most popular hang out spot, because he lives by himself. He also has some online friends who live abroad from him. Though he really needs to build some more friends outside of his already existing small tight knit group.

    Khristoffer Krahn

    Though Tala doesn't have a favorite friend, yet if he had to choose, he'd say Khris. They often have friendly banter, because of their shared comfort in one another. Tala knows that his best friend, is also his alter ego's, Phantomiau's rival, as Khris is a detective apprentice. Still, he does not know how Khris doesn't know who he truly is by night.

    Zahir A.Moor

    Tala and Zahir love to geek out on clothes and art. They often frequent the thrift store together.

    Family

    Tala's relationship with his family is very convoluted and complicated. For the time being his aunt is his closest family member. He has cut off all contact from his mother, and his mother doesn't let his siblings talk to him.

    Design notes

    Tala is short, he has dark hair, (dark blue color for stylization), he has dark brown eyes. His hair is fluffy and semi-short. He has a few dark hairs on his chin and sideburns.

    He enjoys wearing casual, comfortable clothing. He doesn't get cold easily. He's pretty laid back with his clothing options. He has an array of T-shirts with graphic patterns on it. Some was sewn by himself out of cool patterned cotton.

    His choice in clothing colors is usually black, white, green or blue. However he does not stray away from other colors, or other patterns as well ! He occasionally wears chains or other things (lanyard or small plushie for example) on his belt, to have something to fidget with.

    He likes sewing his own clothes and going thrifting. Enjoys upcycling clothing.
